THE SHATTERED GLASS OF THE UNIVERSE

Dejan Vucelic's new solo exhibition in the Graphic Art Gallery "The Shattered glass of the Universe" follows his previously successful exhibition at the same gallery and is his eighth solo exhibition. His new works present an elusive dream world, created through latent consciousness in an intellectually complex form.

Dejan uses special techniques to create his oil paintings. His canvases feature the asymmetric, abstract vision of extra terrestrial landscapes. The glaze finish makes possible the creation of optical depth and fusions of colours. He has made a trademark, characteristic form of artistic expression. He succeeds in building a coherent composition where order is not challenged or disturbed.

Dejan: "…My dreamland visions are the vastness of space and dimensions of calm splattered with the flux and turmoil inherent in the construction of any form; the jumbling of jig-saw pieces before the image crystallises instil a sense of fluidity of time and space and ever-changing battles of nature both here and beyond… "
