Born in Donetsk, Ukraine, Galina arrived in Australia twelve years ago. Since
completing a Diploma in Fine Arts in 1960 she has been working as a professional
artist for more than 40 years.
Galina started to paint at an early age. Her very first work of art had been sold when she was nine years old. It depicted an "Angel with camomile flowers".
Only a few years ago, Galina learned how to swim. The ocean's ever-changing beauty fascinated her and has become a new inspiration. Her paintings show the ocean with its reflection of the sky, the breaking of the waves, astounding in their ongoing flow, its calming magic and sometimes furious tempests. The artworks are always different in their expression and create a miracle of live colours.
Galina had numerous art exhibitions, eg. Writers House of Ukraine, Kiev, Ukraine, and her works are represented in the Union of Artists Foundation of Ukraine and in private collections in Europe, North America, Australia and Japan.
